THE BRIEF

Smith Design hired me to shoot photography for Born Free Eggs as part of a broader brand initiative. The imagery needed to work across packaging, website, and marketing materials within the visual system the agency was developing.

Smith Design handled all the art direction, food styling, and prop styling, both in pre-production and on set. They hosted the production in their in-house studio with their creative team actively directing throughout. The goal was photography that felt warm and approachable while staying clean and brand-forward.

THE PLAN

We shot over two days in Smith Design's studio, with different focuses for each day.

Day one was lifestyle photography with models. Smith Design set up scenes that felt authentic and relatable while keeping clear product visibility. I handled the lighting, framing, and pacing to make sure everything stayed consistent and polished within their brand system.

Day two was plated recipe photography with Born Free Eggs as the hero ingredient. Each dish needed to photograph cleanly and look appetizing while fitting into the broader campaign. Precision and consistency were key.

Smith Design handled post-production and retouching to make sure everything integrated with the overall brand identity.

THE RESULTS

The final image library included a mix of lifestyle and plated food photography that supports Born Free Eggs across packaging, website, and digital marketing.

The visuals balance warmth with clarity, reinforcing the brand's premium positioning while staying accessible and family-oriented. It's a good example of integrating into an agency-led production and delivering reliable photography across multiple shoot formats.
