Grey Goose L’Orange
I was gifted a bottle of Grey Goose L’Orange recently and you know what that means — studio fun! I’ve been working on adding brighter, seasonal images to my portfolio and decided to incorporate fresh fruit and colorful backgrounds here.
This first shot is something I’ve been kicking around in my head for a while now, showing the concept of falling and almost being run over by the objects in the frame. I used a wide angle lens to exaggerate objects in the foreground and shot this in stages in front of a few sheets of poster board, which I cut out and recolored in post to mimic the colors in the bottle. Working through the challenges of this image has me thinking how I can improve the experience next time, and I already have an idea for the subject. Stay tuned…
A much more traditional shot, I simply wanted to show a late-afternoon scene with long shadows and to show the orange popping off of a dark green background for contrast. The splash was fun to capture, and made me realize I need to get back to doing more of them, especially during this heat wave.
And the suggested cocktail with Grey Goose L’Orange, tonic water and a splash of orange juice is honestly the perfect summer beverage. Give it a try and fall in love. Cheers!
