Last year around this time, I was working on a huuuuge web design project for Greenwood Lake Roasters that included not only their new site design, but the art direction and photography for it as well. It’s so fulfilling to create something from the ground up and to work with clients who are real partners in the process, both trusting and generous. The website has been a real success and has automated the ordering process for them, freeing up their time to do the million-and-one other things they need to do to continue running their successful business.

Not to sprain my shoulder patting myself on the back, but I loved the photography work I did for them, so I submitted some of the images to the IACP awards committee this year, and found out just this weekend that my tea infuser image won this years prize for Best Commercial Food or Beverage Photograph! It’s so exciting to see a project of this size come together, but then gaining recognition for it on a broader scale is just the best kind of lagniappe.

If you’re in the Greenwood Lake area, be sure to stop by for the best cup of coffee you’ll ever have, and if you don’t live nearby, visit their website and place an order! I’ve been drinking a lot of their organic tea blends lately, and they’re just the thing for these cooler, rainy fall days.
