diageo’s house of spirits promotion
PROJECTS
Client: Diageo
Industry: Global Spirits & Beverage
Services: Commercial beverage photography, art direction, production leadership
Deliverables: Multi-brand digital campaign imagery
THE CHALLENGE
Diageo commissioned a shoot for their annual House of Spirits Halloween campaign: a haunted mansion concept with ten rooms, each built around a different brand from their portfolio. Every room needed to feel distinct and brand-true while holding together as one cohesive campaign, with sign-off required from each brand team.
THE PLAN
I developed vision boards for all ten rooms which were approved through Diageo's project coordinator, and then translated them into a production plan to shoot every environment in three days. When the scope expanded mid-planning to include social-specific content, the additional shots were absorbed without shifting the timeline. On set, close collaboration with the prop stylist ensured each space was both on-brand and visually interesting. Environmental retouching was handled in-house, with a compositing specialist brought in for the more complex work.
THE RESULTS
Ten fully realized brand environments, a major composited cover image, and social media assets delivered ahead of schedule. The imagery ran in-store and across Diageo's digital and social channels, and the Diageo and agency team called it one of the smoothest shoots they'd been part of.
