THE BRIEF

Sundial Foods hired me to produce photography for their product launch and ongoing digital storytelling. This happened across two separate shoots with different objectives.

The first shoot focused on promotional images and PR visuals as they introduced their chickpea-based vegan chicken wings to consumer and foodservice audiences. The second shoot was lifestyle imagery for their website and social media, showing the product in real-world contexts like brunch, happy hour, and restaurant settings.

The goal was to create images that conveyed texture, crunch, and sensory appeal while being flexible enough for different online and campaign uses.

THE PLAN

The first shoot was all about product and PR imagery. I focused on capturing the unique characteristics of the Sundial wings, particularly the exterior skin texture and interior structure that makes this vegan wing stand out visually. I shot a variety of angles and compositions to support promotional announcements and press use.

The second shoot expanded into lifestyle work. I shot with four models from diverse backgrounds in scenes that resembled real eating occasions: brunch tables, restaurant service moments, communal gatherings. These weren't styled to be precious. I wanted them to feel like moments people could actually relate to while still serving clear marketing purposes.

Throughout both shoots, I made decisions around props, backgrounds, and pacing based on the brand's color palette and visual identity to keep everything unified and on-brand.

In post, I color matched and refined to maintain consistency across the two distinct shoots. I also created a set of animated GIFs from selected images as additional dynamic assets for social.

THE RESULTS

The final library included promotional stills for PR releases and product announcements, lifestyle imagery that shows how the product fits into real occasions, and animated GIFs for social channels.

Together, these assets helped Sundial Foods present both the product itself and its experiential context, giving them visual clarity and flexibility as they built out their website and social platforms.
