Project: Product and lifestyle images for website and social media marketing and advertising
THE BRIEF
The Vintage Advisor hired me to create product and lifestyle images of their scented candles, room sprays and diffusers for website and social media marketing and advertising. Their inspiration board leaned heavily toward minimalist sets with texture and sculptural lighting, so I proposed a spa-like setting with natural stone and direct lighting for a clean, airy, relaxing feel.
THE PLAN
Over the course of two days in studio, I created a variety of scenes to reinforce the premium essence of these products. Stark, long shadows, plus a few shadows from tropical plants swaying in an imagined breeze completed the set design. In addition to our planned shot list, I created a couple of short videos (later converted to gifs) on the spot when inspiration struck.
THE RESULTS
My client was overjoyed with the images and animated gifs and has used them extensively to promote their line of home products.
